Global large-scale urbanization and climate change have become indisputable scientific facts yet are unresolved issues, a common concern for mankind. The relationship between these two topics is unclear it not known how to deal appropriately at the level with in process of urbanization. Further exploration science, management practice, needed achieve global regional sustainable development. This paper first considers basic concerning mass summarizes interactions possible mechanisms change. Urbanization leads heat island effect, an uneven distribution precipitation extreme weather, together local-regional-global multi-scale superposition which aggravates consequences impact on mainly manifested aspects such as changes energy consumption, mortality, spread infectious diseases, sea rise, weather damage infrastructure, water shortages. also briefly reviews relevant international research programs action coalitions puts forward analysis framework multi-dimensional can adapt mitigate change, from perspective four key dimensions—population, land use, economy, society.
